Description

Paz Mental is a multi-purpose web application that sells medical products and stores customers’ health histories. The website’s development involved a two-part approach: the first focused on an e-commerce shop where customers could buy a medical accessory, and the second led doctors to track the customer’s medical history stored in a separate site database by scanning the product’s QR code. All data is kept private while users peruse the website on a comfortable and user-friendly interface.

Goals

  • The client required several features to be incorporated into the website without sacrificing performance. The following goals were set and successfully achieved during the development and official launch, instilling confidence in the application’s capabilities:
  • Personal Health History Management: A secure database that stores all a user’s health information.
  • Privacy Protection: Ensure that users’ concerns are promptly addressed and resolved.
  • Product Showcase and Sales: Provide a platform to showcase and sell health-related accessories like bracelets and pendants.
  • Medical access via QR codes: When a doctor scans the QR code on the product, they are redirected to the stored health card in the web application. This process is seamless and requires no additional steps from the user.
  • Bilingual Support: To cater to a broader audience, we offer full functionality in English and Spanish, ensuring that Dominicans and users abroad feel included and catered to.
  • Customized shipping and payment options:Include a payment and shipping option that accommodates users in the Dominican Republic and internationally.
  •  Content and order management: The user interface is designed to be as friendly as possible, making order management easy for the operational staff. The staff’s role is to ensure the smooth processing of orders and does not involve accessing or handling users’ health data

Design:

    • E-commerce:A super simple online retail store layout where users can easily navigate through the website and add products to their cart.
    • Database : Efficient access to customers’ stored data via QR codes. Authentication and authorization establish secure access.
